Terms of service.
Last updated: 27 August 2026These are the terms you and Oxsites both work to. We have kept them short and readable, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
1 Our services
Oxsites provides website design, development, hosting and related support, as set out in the plan you choose and the quote we agree with you. We work with you to build a professional online presence suited to your business.
What is included in each plan is described on our pricing section. Anything outside your plan can be quoted separately.
2 Payments
The upfront build fee is due as agreed in your quote. The monthly fee is billed monthly across a 12-month plan and covers hosting, updates and support.
Late or missed payments may lead to services being suspended until the account is brought up to date. We will always contact you before suspending anything.
3 What we need from you
To keep your project moving you agree to give us content, feedback and approvals in good time. Delays in getting these to us will move the launch date.
You must own or have permission to use everything you send us, including images, text and logos. If you supply something you do not have the rights to, you remain responsible for it.
4 Who owns what
You keep ownership of your own content. Once your build fee is paid in full, you have full rights to use the delivered website for your business.
Third-party licences, such as fonts, stock images, plugins, & your domain name stay with their respective owners and remain subject to their own terms.
5 Acceptable use
You agree not to use our services for anything unlawful, abusive or malicious. Sending spam, attempting to breach security, or consuming resources in a way that affects other customers may result in immediate suspension without notice.
6 Warranties and liability
We take real care with your site, but services are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, though we monitor hosting around the clock and fix issues as fast as we can.
Oxsites is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7 Cancelling
You can cancel hosting with 30 days’ written notice. If you cancel during your 12-month plan, the remaining months of that plan are still payable, after which we will hand over your site files.
Some features that rely on our platform may stop working once a site is moved elsewhere. We will tell you which ones before you go.
8 Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will let existing clients know. Continuing to use our services after a change means you accept the revised terms.
9 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and both you and Oxsites agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them carry on unaffected. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
